Seminar on the  important aspects of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya Universitystarting from the development of educational management that is related to Thai society that is concerned withproducing graduates and research, developing and supporting Buddhism as well as giving an academic service to society, upholding art and culture, managing Buddhist education, integrating it with modern sciences, developing the mind and society, producing graduates to have a desirable characteristic, organizing the International Day of Vesak, and conducted with other works designated by the University, including the tendency of development towards the University that is supposed to occur in the future.

Study the word, style and meaning used in Buddhism. The way in using language that appears in Tipitakabased on linguistics.

Study and analyze the selected topics on Phonetics and Phonology at the present time. The elements of Phonetics that has an effect on finding the linguistic conclusion.

Seminar on linguistic concept and theory concerning word formation and sentence both of English and Thai language by combining, reducing, increasing and changing the position of morpheme, including the word formation based on concept and theory of Transformational Generative Grammar.

Seminar on the problem and basic concept in making linguistic knowledge, including concept and empirical research process, making theory, model, research design, analyzing data and research interpretation in order to develop linguistic theory.

Study the principle of Buddhist Meditation from the Tipitaka, way of practicing Buddhist Meditation in Vimuttimagga scripture and Visuttdimaggascripture  as well as the method of practicing Buddhist Meditation of different schools in Thailand that emphasizes theory and practice.

Take a comparative study between English and Thai language or other languages in Southeast Asia, including division of language group, changing and evolution of the language in the same family.

808 806 Sociolinguistics and Language Planning                                          (3)(3-0-6)

Study the use of sociolinguistics, relation between speakers of different languages or the use of different languages according to the situations in society, including cause and effect of bilingual speaking for the result in planning the language usage that is appropriate to different activities that emphasize the languages in Southeast Asia.
